WORKSHOP: EXPERIMENTAL ANIMATION
In this workshop, participants will learn about how to craft convincing movement through established animation principles.
Various tactile techniques for creating animation will be explored, with an emphasis on the capacity of physical materials to express movement. Workshops can be tailored to different ages, duration and equipment.
Duration
Workshops can run between 3 hours (a fast-paced introduction to the full process of making a short film) and
3 days (time to explore multiple techniques and develop an idea).
Equipment required
Participants must have access to either a smart phone or tablet
Drawing equipment (textas, pencils)
A4 cartridge paper
Other materials dependant on length of workshop, to be discussed
Age
Appropriate for both adults and children from 8 and above.
